CLEVELAND, OH; May 18, 2011 — MedWorks will be hosting a massive vision clinic at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday July 20, 2011 which will run from 8am until 6pm. This will be MedWorks’ first vision-only clinic and the largest of its kind ever to be held in Northeast Ohio. Appointments will not be needed as this is a walk-in only event. MedWorks hopes to serve at least 100 patients per hour. Each patient who is in need of glasses will receive a free pair. These glasses will be made on site that day as well as at different locations throughout Ohio and distributed to patients following the event.
MedWorks is thrilled to put on this massive event due to the high demand of eye care needed here in Northeast Ohio. This event will be staffed by Optometrists, Opticians and Ophthalmologists from all over Ohio. The equipment for the eye exam lanes is being donated by Optics Inc. as well as Onesight.
MedWorks provides care to those who find themselves in need regardless of their income level, citizenship, or geographic residence. That said, we ask that those who have other options for care, please reserve this clinic for those most in need.
MedWorks is a non-profit organization committed to improving access to healthcare for Ohio’s uninsured and underinsured. MedWorks provides an innovative vehicle through which healthcare providers; corporate sponsors and other volunteers can provide free healthcare, education and other services.
This event is made possible by the generous support of our many in-kind corporate sponsors as well as financial support from The Mt. Sinai Foundation, The Cleveland Foundation and The Kaiser Permanente Foundation.

Hello! The MedWorks Free Mass Vision Clinic will take place on Wednesday, July 20th from 8am-6pm at the Quicken Loans Arena. The address of the arena is 1 Center Court, Cleveland, 44115. No appointment is necessary and it will be first come, first served on the day of the event so we suggest arriving earlier in the day.
There is no need to bring any personal documents with you for the examination, but we will have many community resources on hand such as The Ohio Benefits Bank and they request a photo i.d. and some form of financial documentation (tax returns, bank statements from the last 3-12 months) so that they can input your info into their computer system to determine what type of benefits you might be eligible for. Please call the office if you have any further questions: 216-231-5350. See you there!
