We’ve seen the good that MedWorks can bring to Cleveland by providing free healthcare for the under and un-insured.

Earlier this week, within hours of the disaster striking Joplin, MO, MedWorks representatives arrived at the scene to help. A truck of medical supplies and bottled water was deployed from the MedWorks’ warehouse and met the team in Joplin. The truck was donated by Berman Moving and Storage, (http://bermanmovers NULL.com/) and pallets of water were donated by Giant Eagle (http://www NULL.gianteagle NULL.com/home).

MedWorks was able to act as a first responder, not only providing needed supplies, but also working with their partner MMIC (http://www NULL.mobile-medical NULL.com/) to facilitate the deployment of a mobile operating room that is due to arrive on site on 5/27/2011. In addition, MedWorks and MMIC (http://www NULL.mobile-medical NULL.com/) are working to deploy a mobile Cath Lab and additional equipment.

If you would like to support MedWorks and their cause, both in Joplin and our own backyard, please make a donation online.
